Yoga Teacher with a humble touch
Petra took her first Hatha yoga class in 2001 in the United States. She was told it would help for the extreme pressure she felt at work and help ease the physical tension that she experienced in the whole body. She claims that after the first class it was like 'coming home'. She was amazed how her life and attitudes was changing so dramatically 'just because a little bit of breathing and moving around'. Each class was a journey, more interesting and rewarding than anything else she had experienced.
She continued training with well known teachers in the states and after moving to Spain she continued her studies and started an apprenticeship to become a teacher.
She is a Yoga Alliance certified Hatha and Raja Yoga teacher, and has been teaching since 2005. Her trademark is an energizing workout, which combines graceful movements with powerful breathing and a focused gaze. Working with all students abilities, she helps to create a personal yoga program suited for each individuals needs.
Petra has studied with teachers of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara and Raja Yoga. Raja Yoga, the Science of the Mind, brings yoga to our everyday life and not only on the mat, so students can align not only the physical body but also their heart and soul. Petra teaches in English, Spanish and Swedish.
Classes can be found from Estepona, Marbella and Elviria. Workshops are currently recurring in Spain, Sweden and Norway.
Group classes offer a lovely mix of your own energy along with others. Yoga means to unite, and by attending the group classes we unite not only with ourselves, but with other people. And sometimes it pushes us to make it to the mat which sometimes is the hardest part.

Private Yoga Instruction
- Private Yoga sessions can be useful:
- If you are just starting and want to better know the ABC of Yoga
- If you are an advanced student, but would like to intensify your practice
- If you have certain physical conditions that need to be attended to, even if only temporary before you are ready to join a group class.
In private instruction, your class will be created based on your needs that specific day depending on inner and outer circumstances.

Workshops & Retreats
One day and two day workshops are held in Marbella, Norway and Sweden throughout the year. In the workshops we cover philosophy by digging deeper into the Sutras (verses) by the old Indian sage Patanjali alongside with a Vinyasa Flow class with focus on certain openings of the body. We always finish with deep relaxation and a short meditation.
PRIVATE RETREATS in Estepona, South of Spain. This is open for a very small group of 1-4 people. You will be guided by Petra in meditation, daily Hatha classes and plenty of time on your own. Massage, cooking classes and Life coaching is available upon request. Doubt, cloudy thinking and confusion subside to clarity of mind and an open and gentle heart. E-mail for more information ››

Yoga benefits – Read also about Yin Yoga
For me the list of benefits is infinite, but can also be described with just one word: Space.
Yoga creates space in the physical body so aches and discomfort may have more freedom to move around, which leads to ease. It also creates space emotionally, in your heart, so you can leave old and unresolved situations and feelings behind and welcome new more healthy patterns. Ultimately it creates space in your mind, so silence can enter, clarity will arise and perfect actions can be taken.
I have found that the benefits of yoga are continuously unfolding and as I dive in deeper into my practice, the benefits are constantly changing as well. It is almost like the result is adapting and finding exactly where it needs to go into your life or body at that specific time and space in your life.
Yoga is a science that has been practiced for thousands of years. According to these ancient theories, they claim that body, mind and soul are deeply connected and that has now finally also been proven by modern medicine. They often group the benefits into three different categories-physical-emotional and mental. Yoga builds bridges not only connecting ourselves with all different aspects and parts of ourselves, but most importantly also with all living beings around us. In our practice we disconnect, but only to reconnect as the final goal.
Physically the main benefits are increasing flexibility, increasing lubrication of joints, ligaments and tendons as well as massaging of all major organs. Muscles get toned and we receive a complete detoxification. Other physical benefits are as well:
- Reaction time improves
- Posture improves
- Strength and resiliency increase
- Endurance increases
- Energy level increases
- Sleep improves
- Immunity increases
- Pain decreases
Emotionally we can let go of unsettling emotions such as anger, disappointment and fear. We learn to know who we are and grow to love and accept ourselves, with all our strengths and weaknesses. Mood stabilizes, our attention grows steadier and our heart is opening towards unconditional love and compassion.
Mentally we are getting to know ourselves and our limits, how to re-wire our mind and thoughts to be able to control them. We are realizing that we can observe ourselves and others, to tune in and tune out so we can move from a reacting state of mind towards a responding state of mind. Instead of blaming others, feeling overwhelmed by certain tasks and situations, we move towards self-realization, responsibility and a sense of acceptance of each moment each time connecting more and more to the inner core of ourselves.
All the above are as I see it great side-effects. The true benefit is to find peace, acceptance and freedom. This way we can live an easeful, peaceful and useful life, serving ourselves, our families and our community.
- Most forms of Yoga practiced today are Yang, they emphasize muscular movement and contraction. By contrast Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue, such as tendens and ligaments of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin postures are held three to five minutes at a time. This type of practice complements the more muscular styles of Yoga and is a great aid for learning to sit in meditation. Yin yoga will make your Yang yoga stronger and healthier.
- Petra organizes Yin Yoga Workshops throughout the year as a compliment to the more dynamic classes where muscles are strengthened and lengthened.
Parinama association by Petra Lindros
I am proud to be the founder of the non-profit association Parinama (org, no: G93382638). It was founded in December 2014 in the honor of my mother Eva Reiz, my first and dearest teacher who taught me exactly what Parinama represents.
Parinama is a Sanskrit word meaning transformation, change or alteration. It is the only thing in this world that we know is for sure: that nothing is ever the same; everything is always in the process of finding new forms, either small or big.
Peaceful and useful
The vision for Parinama is to promote change and growth in our community and ourselves. To actually be the change that we want to see in others. That starts with ourselves, so we can be complete and useful in other peoples growth, wellbeing and development.
- Annual stipend to help, assist and pay for newly licensed yoga teachers to become legal in Spain.
- Collaboration with local massage therapists to offer massages to elderly in nearby retirement homes.
- Monthly donations to CUDECA, a private charity that offers all kinds of palliative care given without cost to patients suffering from advanced cancer. (www.cudeca.org )
